Ed Cooley joined Vin Parise on the Media Timeout podcast to discuss the state of the Friars program ahead of the 2016 Big East Tournament, where as many as five teams will try to use this week as a springboard to the NCAA Tournament.

Talked about Big East awards and the accolades showered upon Ben Bentil and Kris Dunn.

"For them to be recognized by my peers in the business, is really a tribute to those kids staying as mentally tough and perserving though the ups and downs of the year that they both had, said the Providence head coach.

Cooley also talked about the quarterfinal matchup the Friars have in the conference tournament with Butler, a team they beat back on New Year's Eve and a few weeks later at the Dunk

"Dunham to me is still a first-team all-conference talent," said Cooley before also noting the contributions of Roosevelt Jones and Tyler Wideman. "An unsung here, Kelan Martin, who could be in the conversation for Player of the Year, because he's had a phenomenal year."
