VCU Head Coach Will Wade was a guest on the College Chalktalk Podcast with Chris DiSano after the Rams moved to 5-0 in Atlantic 10 play this weekend with a win over in-town rival Richmond.

VCU's first-year head coach touched on a number of topics, with DiSano noting that Wade wasn't sure about his starting five entering the season, but he believed in his team's depth. The Rams played a brutal nonconference schedule tht prepared them for the rigors of Atlantic 10 play.

He also drilled down on his team's personnel, noting the leadership of Senior sharpshooter Melvin Johnson, both in games and on the practice court.

"He's just been phenomenal for us all season," said Wade.

He also talks about the development of Mo Alie-Cox and Justin Tillman, gives an injury update on Jordan Burgess, talks about his team's point guard situation, and discusses what VCU must do to improve moving forward.
